Bella’s 1st Level 6 meet was the Commonwealth Cup Meet in Fredericksburg, Virginia in November. Bella had hoped to compete Level 7 this year, but is doing Level 6. Bella is using her Level 7 skills in her routines rather than just competing Level 6 routines. She loves getting to compete her giants on bars.

Bella had a great meet, scoring a 37.125 despite having the more difficult skills. The highlight of the meet for Bella was winning beam with a 9.725, her personal best. She competes a back walkover/back handspring on beam as well as a round off, back tuck off of beam.

This was our first taste of the new Level 6/Level 7 vault that was instituted this year, and boy is that a tough one. The highest scores for the meet on vault was quite a bit lower than what we are used to seeing with the old vault. Bella ended the season last year with a 9.500 on the old front handspring vault and started this season with a 8.700 on the new vault.
